PM Modi Celebrates 50 Years of Indian Schooling System in Oman

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday congratulated the Indian community in Oman as the Indian schooling system in the country completed 50 successful years. Addressing the Indian diaspora and students in Muscat during the Maitri Parv programme, the Prime Minister highlighted India’s cultural diversity as the foundation of its strength and global outlook.
Diversity as India’s Cultural Strength
Speaking to a vibrant gathering, Prime Minister Modi said that diversity is the soul of Indian culture. He noted that for Indians, every day brings new colours, every season turns into a festival, and every tradition carries a fresh idea. This cultural richness, he said, helps India connect naturally with societies across the world, including Oman.
Maitri Parv: Celebrating Friendship and Shared Values
The Maitri Parv programme marked five decades of the Indian schooling system in Oman, reflecting the deep-rooted educational and cultural ties between the two nations. The Prime Minister explained that Maitri represents Maritime heritage, Aspirations, Innovation, Trust and Technology, Respect, and Inclusive Growth.
He described the event as a celebration of enduring friendship, shared history, and a forward-looking partnership aimed at prosperity for both India and Oman.
Strengthening Economic Ties at the India-Oman Business Summit
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Modi addressed the India-Oman Business Summit in Muscat, which brought together business leaders from both countries. He said the summit would provide fresh momentum and direction to bilateral economic cooperation.
Highlighting historical connections, the Prime Minister reminded attendees of the maritime legacy linking Mandvi in India and Muscat across the Arabian Sea. He said that while seasons may change, the friendship between India and Oman continues to grow stronger with time.
Looking Ahead to a Shared Prosperous Future
Marking 70 years of diplomatic relations, Prime Minister Modi emphasized that the India-Oman partnership is built on trust, mutual respect, and long-standing friendship. He added that both countries are now poised to shape a prosperous future together, rooted in their shared heritage and strengthened by modern cooperation.
The Prime Minister’s visit underscored India’s commitment to deepening ties with Oman across education, culture, trade, and people-to-people connections.
